PUBLIC SWITCHED TELEPHONE NETWORK - PSTN

All Civil Works including: Trenches, PVC and concrete ducts, construction and installation of concrete manholes, testing, back filling, asphalting.  900 kms Total of U/G trenches have been executed together with the installation of 4149 precast units.

All works were executed in accordance to Ericsson’s rigorous specifications.

 A precast yard was incorporated next to the central field offices; this yard undertook the execution of all precasts and special structures for the project.  Regions serviced included Kesrouan, Jbeil, Zahle, Chtaura.  All logistics were organized around fly camps which were moved and re-settled in accordance to the regional and planning requirements.

 The execution of the Public Switched Telephone Network has spearheaded the Infrastructural reconstruction effort initiated by the Lebanese Government at the end of the civil strife in 1994.
